I moved into a ground-floor unit in a large complex in Matthews. Week 3, American cockroaches, the big ones, started appearing in the kitchen at night. I called immediately. Management sent pest control who sprayed and left. Two weeks later: more roaches. Second treatment. Management's written response: 'This may be related to food storage practices.'
